Former Marine and Naval Commander Francis T. Williams will be honored in Sandwich this month with the dedication of a Gold Star bridge in his memory.
The Commander Francis T. Williams and Sandwich Veterans Memorial Bridge will cover the crossing of Scorton Creek on Route 6A.
The bridge will be dedicated in a private ceremony with his family later this month.
