Chemicals Used At Cape Cod Gateway Airport Under State Scrutiny

State environmental officials say the use of chemicals at Cape Cod Gateway airport in Hyannis has not been properly investigated.

The Department of Environmental Protection says the airport has not properly reported on the use of PFAS and other chemicals.

Airport staff now must submit a revised report to the DEP by November about the use and spread of chemicals at the facility.

The airport could face administrative penalties if the required actions are not completed in time.
