Harwich Will Not Pull Out Of Wastewater Treatment Plan

Contrary to recent reports, the Town of Harwich is not pulling out of the regional 200 plus-million dollar wastewater treatment plan that would serve the towns of Dennis, Yarmouth and Harwich.

Harwich Select Board Chair Michael MacAskill says he simply wants to keep all options open.

MacAskill went on to say that the town has contracted with a company that is now evaluating necessary components of the proposed project in order to present a comprehensive, accurate plan to voters.

He says the last estimates for project costs was off by about 10 million dollars.
