Centerville Public Library Hosts LGBTQ Story Time

An “LGBTQ Pride Story Time” was held at the Centerville Public Library Friday.

Library staff read stories to children until finally finishing off with a story and dance with a male library staff member dressed up as the character princess.

Reverend Alan Wilmot was there and says it didn’t end up being as bad as he thought it would, but he does think the library should tone it down.

Library Director Victoria Allard says it was not a “Drag Queen Story Time” and the character was not a drag queen.

About 25 children attended.
