Cape Cod State Senator Julian Cyr is further explaining the bill he filed that would enact a climate impact landing fee on private, corporate and charter aircraft in Massachusetts.
He says the legislation is supposed to be a “conversation starter”, and is not meant to go after smaller, privately-owned planes.
Cyr says he’s received lots of feedback on the bill, and is willing to add exemptions to aircraft used for training, small sight-seeing tours, small cessna type planes and others.
