The Coast Guard flew an injured fisherman to the hospital on Sunday about 60 miles south of Nantucket.
A distress call was received about 3:30 Sunday morning from the fishing vessel Furious when a 41 year old crew members suffered a hand injury and requested assistance.
An Air Station Cape Cod Jayhwak transported the man to Mass General after hoisting him aboard the chopper at about 7 am.
The boat is homeported in Stonington, Connecticut.
