Plans to demolish several buildings on the former Monomoy Theatre property in Chatham are being allowed to proceed.
The Cape Cod Chronicle reports the Chatham Historic Business District Commission approved the razing of five buildings on the campus last week.
The commission had previously denied the request because it wanted details on future plans for the property.
The owner, Chatham Productions LLC, wants to construct a half-dozen single-family homes.
The Monomoy Theatre, which closed in 2018, would stay and undergo renovations.
