Governor Baker Begins Lifting Coronavirus Restrictions

Governor Charlie Baker is lifting some coronavirus restrictions in response to improving data on positivity rates and hospitalizations.

Baker says the stay-at-home order and the requirement that businesses close by 9:30 p.m. are both being lifted as of Monday.

The early closure order had required businesses to shut by 9:30 each night, and lifting it will help the restaurant industry.

Baker says capacity limits in place at businesses will remain in place for at least two more weeks.
