Nauset School Committee Sends High School Proposal To Vote

The Nauset Regional School Committee is setting a date to have voters decide whether they want to fund a new high school.

The vote is set for March 30th in Brewster, Eastham, Orleans and Wellfleet.

The price tag of the project, which includes renovation and expansion of the high school, is 132-million-dollars.

The single-date vote, rather than receiving approval or disapproval through individual town meetings, was decided based on concerns the virus pandemic would prevent the project from meeting a deadline to get state reimbursement.
