The Falmouth Police Department says a horse was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night.
The horse had reportedly gotten loose and was hit near the intersection of Sandwich and Thomas Landers roads at around 6:00.
A second loose horse was secured.
The incident is being investigated by Falmouth Marine and Environmental Services and the Massachusetts Department of Agriculture.
