An elderly man was reported dead after being found unresponsive on the Outer Cape on Wednesday.
The Eastham Police Department says it responded to a missing person report and found the 83-year-old's vehicle in the parking lot of the town library.
The unidentified man was found in nearby Depot Pond. He was pronounced dead at Cape Cod Hospital.
The search effort included the state police and the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office.
