Steamship Authority Accident At Hyannis Terminal Under Investigation

No injuries were reported after one Steamship Authority vessel reportedly struck another at the Hyannis terminal this weekend.

According to a report from the Nantucket Inquirer and Mirror, the freight boat Gay Head struck the car ferry Woods Hole, resulting in only minor damage and not keeping the boats out of service.

The SSA says the Gay Head was backing into a slip when the collision occurred. There were sixty-five passengers on board.

A spokesperson says the cause of the incident is under investigation.
