Vineyard Wind Holds Off Project Until Biden Administration Takes Over

The Vineyard Wind Project appears to be waiting until the transition from the Trump to the Biden administration to cross the finish line on its offshore wind farm.

According to a story from the Vineyard Gazette, Vineyard Wind has withdrawn its plans from the federal permitting process as it bids to become the first major wind energy development in the country.

VW has been working on this process for three years and was waiting for a final environmental impact statement from the Federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.

President Trump has been critical of wind energy and claimed it, quote, "kills all the birds" during a debate with Joe Biden in October.
