A driver reportedly recently crashed while overdosing with an eight-year-old passenger in Falmouth.
The Enterprise reports officers responded after a vehicle crashed into a tree on Ashumet Road last weekend.
Police said the driver, James McMahon of Mashpee, was unconscious, the vehicle was heavily damaged and the young boy was distressed.
McMahon was reportedly revived with Naloxone and was charged with OUI, Child Endangerment and other offenses.
Police said the mother took custody of the child, and the State Department of Children and Families was notified.
