Mashpee Board Tables Nip Ban,Approves Pot-Manufacturing Agreement

The Mashpee Board of Selectmen meeting on Monday had several highlights. One was the decision to table a potential ban on alcoholic "nip" bottles; the board heard from owners and residents who opposed the ban, and decided to get more input at a future public hearing. The board also tabled a proclamation to support the Mashpee Police Department, proposed by board chairman John Cotton in response to the national dialogue about police reform. And the board also approved a host community agreement for Aspen Blue Mashpee Inc. for a marijuana-manufacturing facility.
