No Deal Reached On Police Reform Bill

There is no deal yet on the Police Reform Bill. The Conference Committee has technically until the end of the year to get that done.

Both the House and Senate extended the formal session until the end of the year because of the pandemic.

Lawmakers this weekend did approve a 1.8-billion dollar information technology package that deals with local tech projects.

It also includes 40 million dollars for new State Police cruisers and 20 million dollars more for body cameras.

Lawmakers also approved a Climate Change Bill that will also wind up in a conference committee.

Although the conference committee could conceivably meet this weekend, they are most likely going to meet on Monday.
