DA Says Book Isn't Closed On 2018 African Meeting House Defacement

The Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe says someone knows something about the March 2018 defacement of the African Meeting House in Nantucket.

He is urging people who know anything to come forward.

O’Keefe says Nantucket Police had taken the reigns of the original investigation but turned it over to the State Police.

The DA says that a statewide grand jury was hearing evidence in the case. But because of the pandemic had been put on hold.

The DA says that the grand jury will be brought back to continue to hear evidence.
