Cape Cod National Seashore Superintendent Speaks On Coyote Killing

Officials at The Cape Cod National Seashore say that they couldn’t scare off coyotes at the Herring Cove Beach, so park rangers were forced to shoot and kill the animal after it was acting aggressively around people and even killed a small dog who was off its leash.

That happened Monday right in front of its owners.

In addition, Superintendent Brian Carlstrom says that another coyote bit a visitor Saturday and called it “a sad event.”

A reminder that it is illegal to feed the animals.
