A Barnstable County Grand Jury has handed down a first degree murder indictment against William Hayes.
The 40 year old Falmouth man is charged with the shooting death of Darrell Russ in Hyannis last year. Assistant District Attorney Michael Donovan says that Hayes was arrested in Mississippi and brought back to the Commonwealth.
Donovan is not talking about a specific motive yet. He says that Hayes will be arraigned during the normal course of business.
We expect that to be today in Superior Court.
