The State Fire Marshal out with fire safety grants geared toward kids and adults.
Student Awareness for Fire Education or SAFE grants and Senior Awareness for Fire Education grants go to Barnstable, Brewster, Marstons Mills, Chatham, Cotuit, Falmouth, Harwich, Mashpee, Orleans, Plymouth, Sandwich, Wareham and Yarmouth.
The communities get between a thousand and 8 thousand dollars for fire safety.
