In Harwich, it appears that the Historical Commission could be one of the next stops for the potential demolition of the old Holy Trinity Rectory on Route 28.
The Diocese wants to tear it down although there is no plan to reuse the property. Some in the neighborhood have suggested that the building be rehabbed.
Part of the problem is that the Diocese doesn’t have the money for repairs.
No date for a Historical Commission hearing has been set yet.
