Results From Barnstable And Yarmouth Town Elections

In Barnstable they had about 12 percent of the people show up to vote. Four new Town Councillors were elected.

Gordon Starr in precinct 1. David Bogan in precinct 5. Tracy Shaughnessy in precinct 9 and Kristine Clark in precinct 11 all will take seats.

Bogan will take the seat of James Crocker who died unexpectedly earlier this year and whose name remained on the ballot. 

There were no races for school committee or the housing authority.

Next up to be sworn in and that will happen on November 18th. The first new session will be the 20th of November.

In Yarmouth, almost 2 thousand people come out to cast ballots and in the end a debt exclusion package for a new Public Works building on Buck Island Road has been approved. 

Almost 13 hundred for it. Almost 750 against it. It was the only issue on the ballot.

A little more than 10 percent of the people came out to vote for it.
