Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Member Elected To Board Of Selectmen

It has been a long time since it happened. At least some ten years. But a member of the Wampanoag Indian Tribe has won a seat on the Board of Selectmen in Mashpee.

David Weeden was the winner of a four way race for the remainder of the term of John Cahaylen who died earlier this year.

Not a great turnout. About 15%.

Weeden will be sworn in this morning.
