Grant Received For Investigation Of Water Drinking Contaminants

The Centers for Disease Control giving Silent Spring Institute a million dollar grant for the investigation of the human effects from the exposure to PFas and other contaminants in the drinking water supply. 

It is one of seven funded projects that come through the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry.

Officials say there have been few studies PFAS has on humans.

A thousand adults and 300 children in Hyannis will be tested.
