Seasonal Lifeguards No Longer At Cape Beaches

A reminder that most of the lifeguards are gone from beaches on the Cape. And, we are seeing high surfs and strong riptides throughout the area.

Most of that has been from the run up from Hurricane Humberto. Officials say that if you are surfing ---use extreme caution.

The people at the National Weather Service reminds us that the last time a Hurricane Humberto was any kind of intense was back in 1995 when it produced 110 mile an hour winds.

National Weather Service repeats hurricane names every six years unless it is strong enough to retire the name.
