Almost 2.4 million dollars in state grants are supporting local efforts to prevent climate change as well as the impacts of coastal storms.
Eastham, Nantucket, Oak Bluffs, Wareham and Wellfleet among the communities sharing in the money.
The Lt Governor Karyn Polito says the grants will allow the communities to come up with better solutions to protect people and property.
