We were expecting to see the final approval for the Cape Wind project either today or tomorrow. But federal officials now say that will not happen.
Officials at the Department of the Interior aren’t saying why they have been delayed in a final determination of the 800 megawatt project, only that they are.
In a statement to WXTK News, a spokesman for Vineyard Wind says they recognize with any project this size they expect delays. They had hoped to break ground on the project by the end of the year and be on line in 2021.
