Provincetown Board Goes Back To Route 6 Rotary

Provincetown is coming back around on a proposed roundabout at the intersection of Route 6 and Shank Painter Road. Instead of a traffic light, the select board voted on Monday to pivot towards the previously-rejected roundabout. The rotary is part of a broader plan for the intersection which includes converting the southbound roadway into a shared-use lane for pedestrians and bicyclists. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation must approve.
