Plymouth & Brockton Bus Line For Sale

For sale; one bus company that services Cape Cod.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities will hold a hearing next week to take up the sale of the Plymouth and Brockton Street Railway Company.

The bus company, owned by the Anzuoni family is reportedly being sold to a group that includes Winthrop Sargent, CEO of Winthrop Capital Advisors, Paul Fuerst, founder and president of Fuerst & Associates, and former State Secretary of Transportation, John Cogliano.

In January, Plymouth and Brockton lost the state subsidized service of its Mid and Outer Cape routes to rival Peter Pan Bus Lines. P & B now operates routes between Plymouth and Boston, Hyannis and Boston, and Hyannis to Provincetown.
