Falmouth Woman Honored For Decades Of Service On Cape Cod

County Commissioner Honored

2/8/19

The Mercy Otis Warren Cape Cod Woman of the Year Committee has honored a Falmouth woman for her years of public service on the Cape.

A citation presented to Mary Pat Flynn highlighted her civic engagement as reminiscent of Cape-born Revolutionary-era writer and activist Mercy Otis Warren who lived in Barnstable Village.

Flynn was recognized for a career of public service including becoming one of Falmouth’s most popular Selectwomen for two decades and serving as a Barnstable County Commissioner for more than 10 years.

Nomination forms for this year’s Mercy Otis Warren Woman of the Year award will be available at community locations and on line very soon.
