Wareham PD/Drug Bust
2/5/19
Early this morning (Tuesday) a Wareham Police Officer traveling North on Cranberry Highway, near Chili’s Restaurant, observed a vehicle coming toward him in the wrong travel lane.
Officer Calib Larue stopped the vehicle, but it started to back up and away forcing him to jump from his cruiser and yell for the driver to stop......which he did.
The driver and passenger were uncooperative, with the driver giving Officer Larue a false name.
Further investigation showed that 38 year old Patrick Martin of Stoneham had a warrant out for his arrest and he was taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle yielded drug paraphernalia, 2-thousand dollars in cash, multiple cell phones, multiple pills, and suspected Heroin and Martin was charged with a laundry list of illegal drug possession with intent to distribute, possession of an open container of alcohol, and driving in the wrong lane of travel.
The passenger, 37 year old Michael Lacrosse of Lynn, was also arrested and charged with 2 counts of possession of illegal drugs with intent to distribute and failure to wear a seatbelt.
During the booking process, Lacrosse was belligerent and told the officers he hoped that they get shot and killed on duty.
