A New Bedford woman is facing weapons charges following her arrest by Wareham Police.
Wareham officers responded to a call shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday in the ares of the Woods at Wareham for a report of a female who had pulled a gun on a man.
It was further reported that the woman was operating a black SUV and left the property onto Swifts Beach Road. Officers located a vehicle matching the description parked on the side of Swifts Beach Road. After a brief investigation it was determined that the woman in the SUV was carrying a loaded firearm.
Alyssa Sinclair, 21, of New Bedford was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm without a permit.
It appears that the incident was the result of an argument when the firearm was allegedly brandished.
