Falmouth Residents Irate Over Needle Exchange Prgm

A group of Falmouth residents packed the Selectmen’s meeting Monday night to express their displeasure with the Board of Health which approved the location in November of the aids support group of Cape Cod’s new needle exchange program on the east Falmouth highway across from St. Anthony’s church.

The main concerns expressed were that fact the board of health approved the location of the needle exchange without giving the public any chance to weigh in on the issue and the location, which backs up to a residential neighborhood.

Many speakers agreed there is a need for the aids support group’s services, in light of the ongoing opioid crisis, but not at that location.

The support group will be holding more information sessions before it opens in the New Year.
