Report: President Trump To Give Troops On Border More Power

President Trump is reportedly planning to give U.S. troops the authority to protect immigration officers at the border with Mexico.  The nearly 6,000 soldiers deployed to the border region currently are not allowed to protect Customs and Border Protection officers if they're attacked.  The change would come as Homeland Security officials tell reporters that they've heard rumors that groups of migrants could be planning to rush border crossings in California.  Trump deployed the troops to play a supportive, logistics role for the CBP agents at border crossings as a caravan of migrant immigrants started heading from Central America toward the U.S.
