Whelan Gets 2 More Endorsements in Re-election Bid

State Representative Timothy Whelan (R-Brewster) announced that his campaign for re-election has been endorsed by SEIU Local 509 as well as the Massachusetts & Northern New England Laborer’s District Council.

SEIU Local 509 represents 20,000 human service workers and educators in both the public and private sectors throughout Massachusetts- including the 1st Barnstable District.

The Massachusetts & Northern New England Laborer’s District Council and affiliates locals represent nearly 25,000 general construction laborers and public employees in the 1st Barnstable District and beyond.

“I am proud of the positive relationships I have forged with the leadership of both SEIU Local 509 and the Massachusetts & Northern New England Laborers District Council through my work as the Ranking member on the Joint Committee on Public Service”, Rep. Whelan offered in a statement.  “The women and men that comprise their membership work hard in difficult jobs every day to support their families and to make the Commonwealth a better place to live.  I deeply appreciate their endorsement of my re-election campaign”.
