Whelan said.  "My mother served as a Registered Nurse for 30 years working in hospital emergency rooms and nursing homes around the Commonwealth and I saw firsthand her commitment to caring for others..  I have the highest respect for nurses and health care professionals and am deeply thankful for their support of my re-election campaign".
