A Nantucket man is facing charges of taking upskirting photos.
State Police, Monday, said three women on Nantucket approached Trooper Kevin Bates last Thursday, saying they had witnessed a man taking the photos of an unsuspecting woman on Federal Street.
Later that night, Trooper Bates saw the suspect waiting tables at a local restaurant. A second Trooper was called to the scene and an investigation found various upskirting photos on the 30-year old’s phone. He was arrested and faces charges of committing illegal electronic surveillance or video of a nude or partially nude person.
The unidentified man was taken to a hospital for evaluation after making statements suggesting he posed a threat to his own safety.
