MA Trooper Taken to CCH After Exposure to Fentanyl

A Massachusetts State Trooper and two others were rushed to Cape Cod Hospital early this morning after being exposed to the deadly opioid Fentanyl.

It happened shortly after midnight.

First responders, Barnstable Police and more State Troopers converged on the scene on South Street near Ocean Street to secure the area and take the affected people to the hospital.

Hyannis News reports the Trooper can be overheard saying he was feeling a little lightheaded as he walked towards a waiting ambulance.

Details on why the trooper initiated the traffic stop and whether the other two people – a male and a female – were passengers in the vehicle, have not been released at this hour.
