Tuesday night’s special town meeting in Aquinnah went so smoothly that if you arrived fashionably late there was a good chance you missed it.
The Vineyard Gazette reports that voters approved an additional $35,000 in school spending.
The special town meeting was needed when it was discovered that several small funding requests were inadvertently left off the annual town meeting warrant.
41 voters attended the special town meeting at the old town hall. 35 were needed to reach a quorum.
Once called to order, the meeting lasted all of six minutes.
