Provincetown Police have made an arrest in connection with the stabbing of an 82-year old man on Thursday.
29-year old Aaron Mrowka [MROH-kah] of Provincetown has been charged with assault with intent to murder and aggravated assault and battery of a person over 60. Mrowka faces arraignment today in Orleans [or-LEENS] District Court.
Police were called around 6 p.m. Thursday to an area of Commercial Street where they found the victim suffering from wounds to the neck and lower back. He said he was attacked by a man on a bicycle who then fled the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries deemed not life-threatening.
