Drug Deal Goes Bad, Two Arrested on A & B Charges

A drug deal gone bad has led to the arrest of two Brockton men.

Barnstable Police, Monday night, responded to Indian Hill Road in Barnstable where three victims claimed they had been robbed at gunpoint by two men they met for a drug transaction.

Barnstable Police put the word out on the description of the two and their vehicle and about an hour later, Mass State Police stopped the vehicle on Route 3 in Plymouth.

A search of the vehicle discovered a backpack belonging to the victim and a replica handgun.

Arrested were Valter Barbosa, 25, and Nathon Ribeiro-Neves, 18, both of Brockton. They face charges of Armed Robbery, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault and Battery, and Larceny of Property over $1,200. The two were arraigned in Barnstable District Court.
