Barnstable Dectectives Get 3 Guns Off Streets

Yarmouth Police and Barnstable Police teamed up to arrest two men Wednesday night in Hyannis on weapons charges.

Barnstable Detectives executed a search warrant at 125 Lewis St. in Hyannis after surveillance and controlled purchases of narcotics at that residence by detectives.

Following an extensive search, Detectives discovered two handguns hidden inside a VCR in the basement of the home. A third firearm was located hidden in a hollowed out wall space covered by a false electrical outlet. Two of the firearms were loaded and the identifying serial numbers were scratched off.

Arrested were Michael Randall Jr., 27, and Jimmy Lee Perry, 27, who were charged with the Armed Career Criminal Act, 3 Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and 3 Counts of Improperly Storing a Firearm.

Perry had been arrested on March 27th following a search of the same house when police seized more than 19 grams of Fentanyl. He was able to post the $20,000 bail and was released from jail. He has a significant adult criminal record.

Randall Jr. was also free on bail regarding a motor vehicle charge and also has a significant violent criminal record including weapons and assault charges.

Both suspects had their bail revoked for 90 days and an additional bail of $25,000 was placed on each individual regarding the new charges.
