Shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, State Trooper Michael Pacheco of the North Dartmouth barracks, was on patrol and observed a vehicle that appeared disabled on Route 24 southbound just north of Route 195 in Fall River.

Upon further inspection it was found the driver of the car, Joshua Silva, 42, of Plymouth had seven outstanding warrants from Plymouth District Court, for his arrest from previous offenses.

Silva was placed under arrest and found to be in possession of a loaded .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver and three packets of Suboxone strips, a controlled Class B substance. Silva does not have a license to carry firearms.
