Don’t look for any recreational marijuana shops in Falmouth any time soon.
At Monday night’s Fall town meeting, voters approved two separate warrant articles barring the cultivation, processing, and retail sales of pot. Last night’s action mirrors the results of a town vote in May.
The article that provided the biggest disagreement was a request to build a field of artificial turf instead of real grass at the high school. The School Committee wanted to spend just over $72,000 on engineering costs for the fake grass.
By the end of the night, the request for the funds was amended to include a study for a grass field as well.
