The Housing Assistance Corporation was the recipient of more than $6,000 in toys and cash as a result of the 18th annual Chris Wetherbee Memorial Toy Run held on Sunday.
Almost two hundred motorcyclists took part in this year’s run from Eagles Hall in Buzzards Bay to HAC’s Carriage House shelter in North Falmouth.
HAC’s four shelters will share the proceeds from the ride. Although the run started nearly three decades ago, it became known as the Chris Wetherbee Memorial Toy Run in honor of the event organizer, Christina Wetherbee, who passed away from cancer in 1999.
