Route 6 Eastbound in Provincetown will be closed this morning so crews from the DPW can make repairs to an underground water drainage pipe.
Beginning at 6:30 a.m., inbound traffic will be detoured onto Snail road for about five hours to repair the roadway damaged from a failed culvert.
Route 6 eastbound will be closed from Snail Road to Conwell Street. Snail Road will also be closed north from Shore Road to Route 6.
Those on Route 6 Westbound will not be affected.
