The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office is holding a Memorial Blood Drive.
Sheriff Jim Cummings says the blood drive will honor five of their employees who have passed away over the past ten years. The department says the families of Chris Ellis, Daniel Kelley, Richie Maddox, Jim Verrochi and Shakina Wright have expressed support for the effort.
The drive will be held this Friday, August 25, at the Department’s headquarters in Bourne from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. It is sponsored by Cape Cod Healthcare.
All blood received will stay on Cape Cod.
