Gasoline prices are up three cents this week.
That’s the finding of Triple-A Northeast in its weekly survey. Triple-A finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.31 a gallon. That price is six cents lower than the national average for regular unleaded.
Triple-A found a range in price of 34-cents, from a low of $2.17 to a high of $2.51.
Public Affairs Director, Mary Maguire, says the jump is not surprising given the record number of travelers over the Memorial Day weekend, boosting demand.
