Sandwich Police have released the names of the victims in Monday’s double pedestrian fatal on Route 6A near Merchant Square.
Shirley McCarthy, 87, and Evelyn Furlong, 69, were killed when they were struck by a vehicle while in the crosswalk. The two women were rushed to Cape Cod Hospital where they died from their injuries.
Police have not released the name of the driver of the mini-van that struck McCarthy and Furlong, a 54-year old man from Foxborough, pending completion of their investigation into the accident.
