A head-on crash Thursday night in Sandwich sent four people to area hospitals, three with serious injuries.
Sandwich Fire officials tell WXTK News the accident happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Route 130 and Cotuit Road. Officials say a preliminary investigation indicates one car was traveling north on Route 130 and one south. The car traveling south was turning on to Cotuit Road when the two cars hit head-on.
A Sandwich Fire department release says three people were taken to South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth; A 14-year old female suffering from a head injury and two adults with “multi-system trauma.”
A fourth person, an adult male, was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Plymouth with injuries deemed minor.
The crash remains under investigation.
